BlueVi

BlueVi is a Dutch occupational-health and absence-management (verzuim) platform. Employers, arbo services, and case managers use it to register absence, follow return-to-work (re-integratie) trajectories, and stay on the right side of the Wet verbetering poortwachter, the legislation that sets the deadlines and obligations around long-term absence.

My role was long-running platform work on the Laravel and PHP backend: building and maintaining the features that keep that day-to-day workflow running, and keeping a large, long-lived codebase healthy over several years. It is the kind of product where correctness matters, the rules it encodes are legal obligations, and the people using it are managing real absence cases, so the emphasis was on a stable, dependable system rather than shipping fast and breaking things.
