A freelance C# and .NET developer for Windows programs and business software.
Need a program that runs on Windows, or an existing .NET application that needs maintenance or new features? I can help. I work as a freelancer from Enschede, remote for the Netherlands and Belgium. With AI assistants there is a working proof of concept to review within days, checked and tested by me.

The familiar choice for Windows and business software.
C# with .NET is the standard for programs that run on Windows, and a common choice for business software and services. Many organisations have had software in it for years that deserves maintenance.
I have worked as a developer for nine years, mostly on web applications. C# is the language of many of my public projects on GitHub, mostly game mods, and you can read the code. If C# does not suit your problem, I will say so and look at another language.
C# work, from a new program to existing software.
Clients usually come to me with one of these four jobs.
Programs for Windows
An application with its own window that runs on your team's computers, for a workstation or a measurement setup, say.
Business software and services
The part that works in the background: processing data, applying rules and passing results on to other systems.
Maintaining existing .NET software
Fixing faults, extending it and bringing an ageing application up to a current version.
Extensions and plug-ins
Software that plugs into an existing program to add a function of its own, like the projects below.
AI as a working method.
I work with AI assistants, but I do not sell them as a service. They take over the routine work, so a working prototype of the most important part can be running within days. I decide how it is put together and read and test every line myself. A proof of concept is not a finished product: real use still needs testing, security and review.
Tracker, my own tool for tracking work and bugs, had login by emailed code and data import and export on day one, and was live. I built a registration app for a school the same way.
From idea to a running program.
Four steps, and at each one you have something you can look at.
Intro call
A 20-minute call: what should it do, and what is not working now?
Proof of concept
Within days a working version of the most important part, to test whether the idea holds.
Build
In small steps, with interim versions you can try yourself.
Handover
The code lives in your own repository, tested and documented, so someone else can continue without me.
C# code you can read.
These are projects of my own, not client work. The code is public, so you can see how I work.
Overdub: a recording program for Windows
A program for multitrack recording of guitar, bass and MIDI, with drum, guitar and bass machines, support for VST3 plug-ins and a sampler. Built with WPF on .NET 9.
A shared library for game mods
The shared base under the mods I make for the game Valheim. On connecting it checks that player and server run the same mods in the same versions, and applies the server's settings while you are connected. One library with no extra parts.
A C# or .NET project?
Tell me what it has to do or what is not working in your existing software. I usually reply within one business day.
