Extra capacity for your agency, without a new hire.
More work than your team can handle, or a project that needs knowledge you lack? I pick it up as a senior developer who gets going at once. You keep the client relationship, and I deliver work your agency can hand over. With AI assistants there is a working proof of concept to review within days, checked and tested by me.

An extra pair of senior hands when it is busy.
Agencies get work in waves. Hiring for the peak is awkward, and breaking in an unknown freelancer takes time. I have worked as a developer for nine years and usually get up to speed fast on existing work, including software I did not write.
Want your client not to notice I am involved? Then I work under your name. Prefer that I join the conversations with the client? That works too. We agree on it up front.
Work your team no longer has room for.
Agencies usually ask me for one of these four things.
Overflow work
A project, or part of one, your team cannot fit in. I take it over and hand it back.
A part you lack the knowledge for
A link with another system, say, or a custom web application next to the website you build yourselves.
Taking over software from a previous supplier
A website or app that needs maintenance. First an honest opinion of what is there, then a proposal.
Showing your client something fast
A working version of the most important part within days, so your client sees what it is about.
AI as a working method.
I work with AI assistants, but I do not sell them as a service. They take over the routine work, so a working prototype of the most important part can be running within days. I decide how it is put together and read and test every line myself. A proof of concept is not a finished product: real use still needs testing, security and review.
Tracker, my own tool for tracking work and bugs, had login by emailed code and data import and export on day one, and was live. I built a registration app for a school the same way.
Joining in without the fuss.
Four steps, so you stay in control of the planning.
Intro call
A 20-minute call: what is the work, when is it due and what does your client expect?
Agreements
We agree who is responsible for what, how often you get an update and whether I work visibly or in the background.
Joining in
I work in your own systems or on a test environment, with regular updates and short lines.
Handing back
You get work that is tested and explained, so your team can continue without me.
Work on other people's products.
Three case studies of work I did for clients. Each one describes the problem and what came out of it.
BlueVi
Long-running work on Dutch absence-management software used by employers and occupational health services.
Data-Exchange Portal
A portal that links an absence-management platform to HR and payroll systems: about 500 partners migrated, up to 200,000 records a day.
Bioscape
Work on a web app where clients of a sustainability organisation draw locations on a map.
More work than hands?
Tell me what is going on and when it has to be done. I usually reply within one business day.
